The Band year is comprised of Marching Band in Fall semester and Jazz Band or Winter Drumline in the Spring semester. Some students may opt to particiapte in Symphonic or Wind Ensembles in Fall in lieu of Marching Band.
The Color Guard year is comprised of performing with Marching Band in the Fall semester and Winter Guard in the Spring semester.
Note: As of 2024, all incoming freshman and sophomores will be required to take PE in addition to Marching Band/CG. (This includes all sports.) We recommend the online summer P.E. course. Physical Exams/Athletic Clearance forms are required for Marching Band as we are a Varsity Sport. (No-Cost if scheduled through Beckman affiliated clinic). CLICK HERE FOR MORE INFO
A Transportation Fee payment is required, typically $200. This fee pays for busses to and from football games and competitions. CLICK HERE TO PAY YOUR TRANSPORTATION FEE (Beginning August 2025)
Students will practice Monday through Friday during 6th period and one to two days after school until 6:00 p.m.
Beckman Patriot Band and Color Guard has an annual budget of approximately $46,000. All Marching Band and Color Guard parents will be asked to donate a suggested amount and/or participate in fundraising campaigns

2025 Band Camp dates are Monday, August 4th through Friday, August 8th.
MANDATORY Parent Meeting held on August 8th at 5:00 p.m. in the Band Room 320, followed by the family dinner and student showcase.
Students should bring their instrument, hat, sunscreen, sunglasses, water bottle & a lunch that doesn't need to be refrigerated.
The Band Boosters will also provide additional water bottles. Students should hydrate the week prior to prepare.
Returning students should wear their "reds and grays". Reds and grays will be available for new students to purcahse at registration. New students should wear comfortable shorts and a T-shirt until you get your "reds and grays". All students should wear sneakers for marching.
